A Genshin Impact new leak talks of a new special mini-game that will be incorporated into the annual Lantern Rite festival. This very popular RPG from HoYoverse has included many forms of mini-games for all of the in-game events, usually inspired by other games. Mini-games from HoYoverse range from rhythm and tower defense games to a completely different format known as Windtrace or Prop Hunt. One of the very classic, reached-out yearly events will provide the fans a very different kind of a mini-game again.
The Lantern Rite is one of the largest yearly events in Genshin Impact, bringing players back to the Liyue region for the festivities. Most of the time, these events have drawn a lot of anticipation for the introduction of new characters into the mix, including this year's event introducing Xianyun and Yaoyao next year. Besides, this addition is quite well received with many other contents, including lots of mini-games, not to mention stories to be enjoyed for this special occasion. The new mini-game will probably carry forward the remaining piece of the popular Liyue celebrations into 2025 upon release.
The new leak by top Genshin Impact leaker Hexenzirkel Leaks reveals everything for fans about the new Lantern Rite mini-game. The mini-game reportedly resembles Puyo Puyo-style puzzle games, where players could take on the role of an A.I. opponent or an online user. The fun mini-game will feature a cast of multiple playable characters, each with exciting stats and skills that would not flip the table onto their opponents.
Although HoYoverse has yet to reveal any characters from Version 5.3, roster suggestions that leaked strongly indicate that the Lantern Rite must be right around the corner. Additionally, the inclusion of Mavuika and Citlali is rumored, as Version 5.3 will induct Lan Yan, another four-star character. And rumors about Lan Yan have already hinted that he would be an Anemo shield-centric support unit characterized by high mobility and the ability to draw nasty attention from enemies. Lan Yan, however, has not yet received his official tease in Genshin Impact.
Two weeks after the release of Version 5.2, the game introduced an all-new cast with Chasca as a new five-star character and Ororon as a four-star character. natlan was updated with more areas in the expanding in-game map now including the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of Night-Wind in-game. In general, having taken center stage for all past updates, Natlan fans from Liyue have enormous cause to celebrate the Lantern Rite this year.
