Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Creative Director Issues Statement on Latest Controversy

The Creative Director of the game vouches that Daniel Vavra, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has put forward the inclusion of LGBT content in the game. Reacting to the move, he used sarcasm in the discourse as he rejected all the points concerning the game while reaffirming his creative vision of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

The game, first out of the block, was the subject of some bad writing that was covered with excellent verbosity. Still, one of the most outspoken supporters, Vavra, tackled the matter at a Reboot Develop show in 2018, pointing out that the game gave a historical portrayal of the 15th-century Bohemia. The war veteran stressed also that there was "no 'propaganda' in the game" because it was written by seven individuals having different political views. Fast-forward to 2024, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released, and one of the "a wide range of ethnicities" features was promised.

The upcoming game is to be open to the inclusion of and unapologetically for LGBT scenes. This has led to the game being banned in Saudi Arabia. The guy carefully avoided this topic to develop the story, but referring to the game's ingenuity, Vavra pointed out that it was like Warhorse was getting in a "bizarre culture war." Instead of this, now the social media is verbalizing about the developer making its next game as inclusive as it was in the past."

The game is so and so it's my vision, which simply is the truth. Vavra claims that no one bothers to approach him—and even if someone had tried, no one would win over him. The chief creative officer continues to claim that in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, "every character has a clear cause to be in that place." Although Warhorse kept on pointing out that they were intending to produce a game that felt genuine, Vavra had insisted on the idea that the upcoming unbound world must look familiarly like life in medieval Bohemia, and yet the story must remain interesting.

Vavra himself underlined that their following projects are the RP genre, so that the player takes on the responsibility for the consequences of the actions, which he/she should align with "the morals and social norms" of 15th-century Bohemia. Vavra did not miss this chance to hint that he will not discuss the story more to keep it from giving it away, though "I very strongly" believe that no one will disagree with me after playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is set to come out on February 4. KCD sequel will be available on PC the same day it comes out on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, along with a special edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
